1 · Privacy Policy

Debt Freedom is built to keep your financial information private. Here is exactly what happens to your data.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter — your income, expenses, loans, savings, monthly logs and plan — is stored only in your own browser, encrypted with a key derived from your password using AES-256-GCM. It is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We cannot read it, and neither can anyone who gains access to the server.

What the server holds

Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. The only things stored server-side are your email address, a one-way hash of your password, and an optional display name — the minimum needed to let you log in. No financial data is ever sent there.

Data you carry yourself

Your exported report PDF contains a copy of your plan data so you can move it between devices. Treat that file like a bank statement — anyone who has it can read it. Keep it safe.

Third parties

We do not use advertising, third-party tracking, analytics cookies, or sell or share your data with anyone. There are no ads.

Your control

You can wipe your on-device data at any time from the app (Logout → wipe, or "Wipe account data on this device"). Deleting your account removes your Supabase auth record. Because your plan data is local, clearing your browser storage erases it — keep a PDF backup first.

Forgot your password? Your password is also your encryption key. A password reset lets you back into your account, but you'll need your recovery key (shown once at signup) or your exported PDF to unlock your on-device data. Without either, that data cannot be recovered — by design, since no one but you holds the key.

2 · Terms of Use

Educational tool — not financial advice

Debt Freedom is an educational planning and calculation tool. It is not a registered investment adviser, is not SEBI-registered, and does not provide personalised financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Nothing in the app is a recommendation to buy, sell, prepay, or hold any financial product.

Accuracy & assumptions

Projections are estimates based on the numbers you enter and general assumptions (on-time EMIs, monthly deployment of surplus, illustrative long-term return rates). Real outcomes vary. Interest rates, fund NAVs, prepayment charges, lock-ins and tax rules change — always verify against your loan sanction letter, your bank, and current regulations, and consider consulting a qualified, fee-only professional before large decisions.

No warranty · limitation of liability

The tool is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the tool or reliance on its outputs. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.

Acceptable use

Use the tool for your own lawful, personal financial planning. Don't attempt to attack, disrupt, or misuse the service or other users' access.
